Applicants for the International Teacher Certificate (ITC) will be experienced teachers, preferably with teaching qualifications and a minimum of two years' experience in an international school. If any information in the Teacher Application Form is untrue or if the applicant withholds any relevant information, this may lead to the application being rejected or, if already accepted into the ITC Program, the participant's withdrawal. ECIS reserves the right to refuse applicants' admission into the program.
Applicants for the ITC are expected to adhere to the ethical guidelines and adopted policies of their school.
They will honor their contractual employment agreements and the laws and regulations of their host country. Unethical professional behavior on the part of an applicant could result in withdrawal from the program.
Participants must attend an ITC Institute - held in a variety of locations throughout the year.
For current fees, please see the Fees and Visas page
All fees must be paid in full before commencing the course. The fee includes an assessment fee to University of Cambridge International Examinations for evaluation of each of the five standards, the face-to-face ITC Institute (excluding travel and accommodation) plus access to the dedicated ECIS-ITC website hosting the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE and all the components therein) which is supervised by the ITC Course Leader.

2. Examples of work that ECIS might use for articles, or at conferences and seminars to promote or explain the ITC.
3.Quotes that promote the ITC such as on the ITC website or in promotional leaflets.
4.To provide examples of work for the ITC VLE.
5. It is possible that the building body of ITC work may draw the interest of graduate students doing research in the field.
* 6. International Baccalaureate Level 1 Teacher Award is issued by the International Baccalaureate Office (IBO). The candidate may apply for this by submitting an application and requisite fee to the IBO upon reciept of confirmation from ECIS that the teacher has complied with the agreed ITC/IBL1 requirements and has succesfully completed the ITC.
* This applies to IB candidates only.
